Tax Preparation, Built on Clean Books
When your bookkeeping is accurate all year, tax time stops being a scramble. BKInk prepares corporate and personal tax returns for Ontario small businesses — and because we keep the books too, your year-end and your filing come from the same accurate records, not a last-minute reconstruction.
Authorized by the CRA to file returns electronically (EFILE) · Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor · Serving small businesses across Ontario.

The Bookkeeping-and-Tax Advantage
Most small businesses keep their bookkeeper and their tax preparer in two different places. The result is predictable: a year-end handoff full of questions, missing details, and corrections — and a return that’s only as good as the books it was built on.
BKInk closes that gap. We keep your books accurate every month in QuickBooks Online, prepare your year-end file from those same records, and file your return — all under one roof. You get one team that already knows your business, clean numbers that are filing-ready by design, and no costly translation step between “the books” and “the return.”
Bookkeeping → year-end → tax is one continuous path, not three separate projects. That’s the whole point of doing them together.
What We Prepare
Corporate Tax (T2) — T2 corporate income tax return preparation for Ontario corporations, built from a clean year-end. Typically prepared together with your corporate year-end so the books and the return agree.
Corporate Year-End Support — Year-end file preparation that gets your books filing-ready: adjusting entries, reconciliations, and the year-end working papers a T2 is built from. The bridge between everyday bookkeeping and your corporate filing.
Personal & Self-Employed Tax (T1) — T1 personal tax return preparation, including self-employed and sole-proprietor returns with business and HST considerations.
Each tax service is prepared within a tax-preparer’s authorized role. BKInk is a bookkeeping practice and Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor — not a CPA or public accounting firm — and does not provide audit, review, or assurance services or regulated tax-planning advice.
How Tax Pricing Works
We bring the same transparency to tax that we bring to bookkeeping — no mystery “contact us for everything.” Tax preparation is priced per return, by complexity: a straightforward corporate or personal return costs less than one with multiple revenue streams, HST, or catch-up work needed first. Year-end work is a fixed-scope project confirmed after a quick file review.
For most incorporated clients, the best value is the bookkeeping-and-tax bundle — your monthly bookkeeping, year-end, and T2 filing as one combined annual engagement. We confirm your exact price after a short, free consultation. See the Pricing page for tax pricing and bundle details.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I have to be a bookkeeping client to have my taxes prepared? No. We’re happy to prepare a corporate or personal return on its own. That said, the biggest savings — in both cost and stress — come when we keep the books too, because your return is then built on records we already know are accurate.
2. Is BKInk a CPA firm? No. BKInk is a bookkeeping practice and Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, authorized by the CRA to file returns electronically (EFILE). We prepare returns within that authorized role and refer audit, review, assurance, and regulated tax-planning work to a qualified CPA when it’s needed.
3. What’s the difference between year-end and the tax return? Year-end is getting your books finalized and filing-ready — adjusting entries, reconciliations, and working papers. The tax return (T2 or T1) is the filing itself, prepared from that finalized year-end. We do both, which is why they line up.
4. When should we start? Earlier is cheaper and calmer. If your books are current, year-end and filing are straightforward. If they’re behind, we’ll catch them up first — so the best time to talk is well before your deadline. Schedule a consultation and we’ll map out the timeline.
Clean books all year, then we file your taxes.
Stop treating bookkeeping and tax as two disconnected scrambles. Schedule a consultation and we’ll show you how the bookkeeping-and-tax path works for your Ontario business — and what it will cost.
