Year-End Support That Makes Your Books Filing-Ready

Corporate year-end is the bridge between everyday bookkeeping and your tax return. BKInk gets your books finalized and filing-ready — adjusting entries, reconciliations, and the year-end working papers your T2 corporate return is built from — so filing is a clean handoff, not a reconstruction.

What Year-End Support Includes

Year-end is a fixed-scope project: we take your books from “current” to “finalized and filing-ready.” Depending on your file, that includes:

  • Final reconciliations of all bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
  • Adjusting entries — accruals, prepaids, amortization, shareholder and inter-company items, and HST true-ups.
  • Year-end working papers that support every number on your financial statements.
  • Finalized financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) for the year.
  • A clean handoff into your T2 filing — the same team, the same records, no translation step.

This is bookkeeping-adjacent work — preparing clean books and the year-end file. It is not an audit, review, or assurance engagement, and it does not provide regulated tax-planning advice.

Year-End → T2: One Continuous Path

The reason BKInk’s clients don’t dread tax season is simple: year-end and the corporate return are the same conversation. We finalize the books, then file the T2 from those finalized numbers. Nothing gets lost in a handoff because there is no handoff.

If your books are behind, year-end starts with catch-up — bringing your records current before we finalize them. We’ll scope that clearly so you know exactly what’s involved.

How Year-End Pricing Works

Year-end is a fixed-scope project, confirmed after a quick review of your file — the same structure as our catch-up and cleanup pricing. Once we’ve seen the state of your books and the volume involved, we give you a fixed price before any work starts, so there are no surprises. Year-end preparation starts from $280, and most incorporated clients pair it with their T2 — the Year-End + T2 combination starts from $660.

Prices shown do not include HST.

Most incorporated clients get the best value from the Bookkeeping + Year-End + T2 bundle — clean books all year, your year-end, and your filing as one combined annual engagement. See the Pricing page for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need year-end support if my books are already current? If your books are genuinely current and reconciled, year-end is lighter — mostly adjusting entries and working papers. If they’ve drifted, year-end starts with catch-up. Either way we confirm the scope and a fixed price first.

2. Is year-end the same as my tax return? No. Year-end finalizes the books and produces filing-ready financials and working papers. The tax return (T2) is the filing prepared from that year-end. We do both, which is why they line up.

3. Can I keep my current bookkeeper and just use you for year-end and T2? Yes. We’ll work from your existing records. Many clients find that once they see how cleanly year-end and filing fit together, they move their monthly bookkeeping to us too — but that’s never required.
